Popeye on Android - another option!
Recently, Dmitri Turevski made a Popeye port which could run on Android mobile phones. See earlier post.
Turns out there's one more way. I recently installed "DosBox Turbo" on my Android mobile. This is an Android specific port of the well known DosBox DOS emulator. Using this, I was able to make the DOS 3.77 version of Popeye run on my mobile. Of course, the drawback is that DOS versions of Popeye are no longer maintained, so the latest additions and fixes won't be available.
On the Sourceforge Popeye repository, I'm able to see versions available from 3.73 to 4.69.
The Github repository has versions from 4.71 to 4.75.
Don't know which particular version was the last DOS supported one. Someone else can confirm this?
Maybe it's still possible to compile Popeye for DOS?

may be easiest way will be to install BusyBox and to compile Popeye for it.
