Selfmate with royal battery mates

The following selfmate has 6 mates by the black royal battery.

Edward Boswell, British Chess Magazine, 1947
(= 14+11 )
S#2

1.Sb3! waiting
1...Bg7 2.Qxg7 Kxf5
1...Bf6 2.Bxf6 Kxf4
1...Be5 2.fxe5 Kxe5
1...Bd4 2.Sxd4 Kxd4
1...Bc3 2.dxc3 Ke3
1...Bxb2 2.Bxd3+ Kxd3

Given the existence of the above problem, why was the following problem worth a first prize?

Karl Niesslbeck, 1 Prize, Die Schwalbe, 1966
(= 14+12 )
S#2

1.dxe6! (2.Qxh8 Kxf5)
1...Bg7 2.Qxg7 Kxf5

1...Be5 2.fxe5 Kxe5
1...Bd4 2.Sxd4 Kxd4
1...Bc3 2.dxc3 Ke3
1...Bxb2 2.Bxd3+ Kxd3

I was not able to find the award. My guess is that the judge didn't know the anticipation (there were times when computers and databases were not available to everyone).

Award published in Heft 19/20 (July/August) 1969, page 297

Does anybody want to translate? There is a reference to another problem by Arthur Madsen(probably one of these: http://dt.dewia.com/yacpdb/?id=94099 or http://dt.dewia.com/yacpdb/?id=94098)

Something like this:

Indeed a "thunderclap" (Dr. H.S.): In this composition, the sixfold capture of the black bishop leads to six battery mates by the black king. A marvellous performance, for which one may overlook the key and Rg1. [solution] A composition by A. Madsen ("problem" 1953, 2nd HM in A.C. White memorial tourney) shows (in a selfmate-twomover-mutate) a sevenfold bishop capture, however without the awarded differentiating mates.

The Madsen composition is the first one you gave, but there's also setplay in which the bishop is captured in a different way in a few variations.

Interesting, but not a real selfmate, e.g. wPg2, bPs g3 and g4, remove f3 and h1 - Stalemate in 2.

I don't think that this comment is entirely appropriate, since the problem was published at a time when stalemate problems had much less acceptance than they have nowadays.

Can anybody confirm the source of Boswell problem? I checked BCM for 1947 and could find it there. There are other Boswell's problems but not this one. I have just problem section of BCM so I could miss it.

Also, it's listed as published in the Problemist, 1949 at http://dt.dewia.com/yacpdb/?id=85929

Update: I finally was able to locate my copy of the Problemist. The problem was published in March 1949 (No.8 Vol 4) issue of the Problemist as position "F" of Boswell's article titled 'Quiet play in the self-mate two mover'(with an introduction by Alain White). BCM, 1947 is an incorrect source.

Here is Boswell's own comment:

Position "F," a pure task, is an attempt at a completely quiet diagonal B.K. battery. One of the variations however is a check, since I could discover no way of quietly showing the 6th variation. The extra liberty for the Black Bishop was the most I could give in return for the taking of the flight, and, whilst the key is definitely bad, I was agreeably surprised I could obtain a key at all.

I could scan the whole article if anybody interested.

Is it possible to have the key 1.Bh7-g6?
