Dear Administrator, I have only answered to comments of others. Kevin and Milomir posted their views on the war, you didn't delete them, so I decided to respond. I haven't insult anybody, but just presented the facts.

Okay, but let's agree that all this is superfluous here. We all can't prevent this catastrophe, but we are unnecessarily ruining our relations

The least we can do is to listen to Ukrainian composers. Tarasiuk wrote. “The life of some of my friends and close people in Ukraine over the last 37 days of the war was cut short in an instant…
Believe me you can only lose life. Everything else is vanity!”
He also composed a study with the motto,
“Let us love the peoples of the world and respect their rights:

Anatoly Slesarenko's post refers in part to problem chess, but in the first part it talks about the events in Ukraine.
The first part is not suitable for this forum, and the second is primarily intended for WFCC delegates.
All of this would reopen a heated debate and that is why I removed it

The Russian Chess Federation has decided to withdraw from the European Chess Union and join the Asian Chess Federation.
Can the WFCC remain the same after emotional illegal political decisions?
Points 4 and 6.1 of the decision of the WFCC should be canceled!

Just FYI, the new SCHWALBE is out.
No "official" statement is given...which is not that surprising,
given that Germany has no nukes :-)
(Delegate "be" wears his heart on his sleeve, though)

Oh, and the s# prize report apologetically stated that SCHWALBE
gets so little prime s# material from Russian experts.
Whatchasay, German humor exists...

Not much humor there as the judgment was sent to Die Schwalbe in the year 2021, a long time before the idea of banning someone from publishing chess problems due to his nationality was born. .

It seems that in Die Schwalbe still originals from all people are welcome.

It all depends on whom you trust. I don't trust either side in this war, or "special operation".

But I believe it would be our good right to have Igor Yarmonov speak freely to us, so can this be organized somehow? I would want to have a confirmation or trusted source. Where does Andrey have his information from? Did he see Igor Yarmonov personally? Is Yarmonov well? Will he remain in Moscow? Germany would offer him asylum, you know. So we would accomodate him in our country, if he wants. The question is just how his travel would be organized, that is beyond our capabilities.
