My 1st fairy invention

Just want to know who ninja'ed me (=invented it before me). :-)

(= 1+2 )

Spiral c6. It's a line-like piece that moves, duh, spiral-wise:
c6-c5-e5-e8-a8+(-a3-g3 if a8 were free)
c6-a5
c6-d6-d8-a8+
c6-d6-d4-a4-a8+(-f8-f2, dito)
c6-c7-a7
c6-c7-e7-e4-a4
c6-b6-b8 (with Kb6 it wouldn't be mate)
c6-b6-b4-e4-e8
It doesn't jump: c6-c7-e7-e4-a4-a9-g9-g2 is illegal since
end of board goes in the way.

I am 100% certain that I had been exploring a similar (spiraling) unit, some years ago, but unfortunately, I can no longer recall whether I was intending to introduce this very invention myself, or whether I was merely exploring a favored invention that I had encountered.

It could easily be the former -- as a fan of Archimedes, it is highly plausible that I would have attempted the very same invention myself, especially after having seen Alexandre Muñiz's "Windmill" unit (1997) -- in which case, unless I published something (which I highly doubt), your invention may well be original.

I will investigate the matter, and see if I can uncover any clues in my old personal databases...
But, I went through those fairly recently, and I deleted a number of problem ideas which were not immediately testable/distinguishable -- so, I may not find any indication of my motivation.
