It is white to play, so the white king has triangulated somewhere. He wishes to know the composer and source details of the position, if they exist.
Can anyone help? | | (2) Posted by Juraj Lörinc [Wednesday, May 30, 2012 22:32] | Michael, do you mean only White's starting position with Pf2 at f3 (as SPG with various ideas, Black position any, there are multiple such SPGs) or the Black has the initial position too? | | (3) Posted by Michael McDowell [Thursday, May 31, 2012 17:55] | I understand that what is meant is the initial position with f2 moved to f3 but with White to play. I suppose the only point is that you can prove that the white king has moved. As there is no "solution" in the sense of a unique sequence of moves I have my doubts that anyone has ever published this position, but the enquirer suggests that it may have been by Loyd. If so it's not in the A.C.White collection. | | No more posts |
