He lived in Israel since the 90th (I learned about his arrival to Israel during my post-doctoral studeis in the USA) and was not active and in poor health in the last years. I am quating here a less known problem by the great composer. Note how all thematic mates follow interferences, and the dual avoidence after the moves by Sd4.

and the variants are Sfe6/Sfe2 before and Sde6/Sde2 after.
Ruchlis+Ostsee theme. Has this ever been done?
Hauke | | (3) Posted by Paz Einat [Thursday, Mar 22, 2007 12:35] | Hauke,
What is the Ostsee theme?
I think that a knight on f4, repeating the same moves of the Sd4, would be less interesting partly since it will become too symmetrical. Unless a try pinning this S is included somehow...
Paz | | (4) Posted by Hauke Reddmann [Thursday, Mar 22, 2007 16:00] | Ostsee theme: [at least] two parades on the same field followed by
two mates on the same [other] field. ([] is optional)

(Yup, go and try 6 variants :-)
