A STERN CRITIC
I heard a lion roaring phat*
but round the corner sat - a cat.
Well then. The bears won't need advice
and it may scare - the rats and mice.
* Hip-Hop slang, here as: "good", "loud", or suchlike.

It must be my ignorance, but is there any connection to chess compositions?
Or is "The Aesthetic Weasel" by Christian Morgenstern the missing link?!?
