Problemist rhyming
I'm working on a really silly thing as always.
Do you know a problemist on -ek (Formanek...doesn't scan)
or on -ung (Hartong...Haring...fail...AAAAND doesn't scan)?
Triple your points if German.

Huibrecht van Beek (1872-1951) and Wim Hoek (1920-1987) -both Dutch- come to mind. Not that they rhyme with Formanek, but hey, who's counting?

Coming to my WinChloe db, I have found a few more -ungs by full-text search. Besides two already mentioned names there is only one name that I seem to remember from above diagrams - Young (and it does not rhyme well).

Names ending on -ek are quite common in Czech (and Slovak). Not mentioned in previous posts Jelínek (two of them :-)), Košek, Bílek, Mašek. Pronounciation of Hoeg could be the same.

Well, in that case I take Afek - he's so often at the HSK for
endgame training, he counts as "German h.c." :-)
Is there a "public" problemist database? It would be
quite handy sometimes, even aside from doing shenanigans :-)

Unfortunately the "G" in "Niels Høeg" is silent, so I'm afraid it doesn't really rhyme with Formanek. But again, who's counting.
