Saturday *23rd* October sees the next International Zoom meeting, at 8pm Singapore/Hong Kong time, which I think is 5.30pm Indian time, 2pm Central European Summer Time, and 7am in Eastern United States, United States, but please check locally. Feel free to come and go as you like during the meeting which normally lasts for about 4 hours. (I think - normally it keeps going after I go to bed.)
The meeting is recurrent (4th Sat of each month), so the invites sent out last time (mainly via MatPlus Notes) should still work. If you have a friend who wants to join, please contact me and I can send them the invite: trying to loosely control access to the invite, so that we don't get visited by gatecrashers.
As usual please bring problems for general solving, topics for discussion, jokes etc.
As far as I can see, daylight saving in US & Europe happens at the end of October, so this meeting is unaffected.
Love,

Saturday 27th November sees the next International Zoom meeting, at 8pm Singapore/Hong Kong time, which I think is 5.30pm Indian time, 1pm in France and Germany, and 7am in New York, 6am in Iowa, but please check locally. Feel free to come and go as you like during the meeting which normally lasts for about 4 hours. (I think - normally it keeps going after I go to bed.)
This month for the first time we have a Special Guest Star (Michel Caillaud) who will be taking us through a few problems that interest him, and answering questions. Also hope for the first time to have some attendees from Japan!

The next Zoooooom meeting will be on Saturday 29th January 2022. The numerate amongst you will note that this is not the 4th Saturday of the month, but the 5th, however the stars are not right for the earlier event. We will probably shift to the last Saturday of the month on a regular basis.
Time will be as usual: 9pm Japan, 8pm Singapore/Hong Kong time, 5.30pm Indian time, 1pm in France and Germany, and 7am in New York, 6am in Iowa, but please check locally. The next Zooooooom meeting will be on Saturday 26th February 2022, the last Saturday of the month.
As regular attendees will know, it's a very informal affair. The average age of attendees is low, but there is substantial composing and solving skill amongst the ranks.

EDIT: corrected the date - thanks Neal | | (28) Posted by Neal Turner [Monday, Feb 21, 2022 14:07] | Saturday is the 26th. | | (29) Posted by Sarah Hornecker [Tuesday, Feb 22, 2022 08:25] | It seems that Anirudh Daga of "The Hopper Magazine" took up my other request, he now does a small kind of podcast where he invites guests that present short puzzles.
For now it seems contributors to his magazine (with James Quah, Andrew Buchanan) are invited. Andrew was first, Yours Truly will appear soon also. I brought a beautiful Kaminer study and two of my own. :-)
So, as people apparently still use antennae to connect to the internet (at least people always say they must tune in or stay tuned or such), tune in to his channel:

The next Zooooooom meeting will be on Saturday 26th March 2022, the last Saturday of the month.
As regular attendees will know, it's a very informal affair. The average age of attendees is low, but there is substantial composing and solving skill amongst the ranks.
Time remains noon GMT, but I think some locations have had clocks go forwards. I think it's 9pm Japan, 8pm Singapore/Hong Kong, 5.30 India, 1pm continental Europe, noon UK, 8am EST etc.
The invites sent out last time (mainly via MatPlus Notes) should still work. If you have a friend who wants to join, please contact me and I will immediately send them the invite: trying to loosely control access to the invite, so that we don't get visited by gatecrashers.

Andrew | | (33) Posted by Andrew Buchanan [Tuesday, Apr 26, 2022 11:47] | Dear chess friends,
Those months fly by! The next Zooooooom meeting will be on Saturday 30th April 2022, the last Saturday of the month.
As regular attendees will know, it's a very informal affair. The average age of attendees is low, but there is substantial composing and solving skill amongst the ranks.
Time remains noon GMT, which equates to 9pm Japan, 8pm Singapore/Hong Kong, 5.30 India, 1pm continental Europe, noon UK, 8am EST etc.
The invites sent out last time (mainly via MatPlus Notes) should still work. If you have a friend who wants to join, please contact me and I will immediately send them the invite: trying to loosely control access to the invite, so that we don't get visited by gatecrashers.
Old invites probably describe this meeting as being on the 4th Saturday of the month rather than the last one. This has no impact on access to the meeting. If you would like to trade in your old invite for a new, less confusing one, please contact me.
As usual please bring problems for general solving, topics for discussion, jokes etc. Problems discussed in such a private call are not considered to have been published.

Luckily, in this case it's just a "fun" termin, i.e.
probably no fun for me and I might join later :-)
