Combined pieces in Popeye

A zebu (intrinsically known by Popeye) is camel+giraffe (if I remember
mn-knights correctly). Can I generally tell Popeye that a piece is
piece A+piece B, if A and B are known to it?

Only if the piece has a name

Bother, expected already that much. (And the changes are slim that Thomas
will grant me 1:2+2:5+3:3,1:2+2:5+1:3 and 1:2+2:5+0:4 knights just because
I have to check my silly super-Ceriani from feenschach 2003 :-)

I thought there were combined pieces in Popeye, but upn closer inspection of the readme, I found out I was thinking of generalized hunters, not combined pieces.

Yes, one can - if one speaks a little bit of C...

If you speak the word "friend" (in the language of C), doors will magically open.

In other words, position all the units on the board you want, and immobilize them in such a way that they only impact the friend unit. Problem solved!
note: this hack is not recommended for problems longer than one half-move.
