Who is Kestutis Stalioraitis? Is it an invention by Senkus? In EG 98 there's an article by Latvian scammer Raimondas Senkus about Kestutis Stalioraitis.
Somewhere I think I have the address of Senkus but I doubt it would be of any use to ask him (or to try to find the address). |

Dear chessfriend, when you are speaking about Latvia, it is necessary to persuade is it Latvia really. Both persons are you told about are Lithuanians. Kestutis Stalioraitis was dead in 1979 (born in 1909). He was very outstanding pedagogue and school chess coach in Lithuanian town Marijampole. Kestutis was very fond of both chess and mathematics. Its a pity, but R.Senkus was a pupil of famous pedagogue. Everyone is unprotected from spoilage. |

Dear Siegfried,
all the biographical facts that are given in the article in EG about K.Stalioraitis are thruth. I had a talk with FM Laimutis Solys (OTB FM, Elo ~ 2300) that was the pupil of K.Stalioraitis. Laimutis Solys was born in Marijampole and he told me more interesting things about K.Stalioraitis. The facts that are in the article are well known for Marijampole residents, they were many times reprinted in local newspapers. Maybe R.Senkus only translated in English one of them and sent it for EG. Maybe he in a simple manner plagiarized somebody, as he did in chess composition. |

I apologize for my harsh tone, again, and thank you for giving us information that shed light to this mystery!
For the database we would however like to have exact dates of birth and death.
All the best,
Siegfried |
