Authors solution in 258 is 1.b6 2.ba 6.ab1R 7.Re1 8.ef6 9.Ke7 12.Kb4 14.Bb6 15.Ba5, Ba3+ |

@(250):
Cooked (maybe even uniquely): 1. d4 2. d5 3. d6 4. dc7 5. cb8=S 6. Sd7 7. Se5 8. Sf7 9. Sd8 10. Sb7 11. Ka6 12. Qh5 13. Qh7 14. Qh5 Rh5=
I'm currently testing the last 14 moves of (251), but it's going slow. |

Here is another attempt:
(= 13+16 )
ser-hs#15 (C?)
or even
(= 14+16 )
ser-hs#16 (C?) |

(264) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Tuesday, Apr 12, 2022 10:20] |
(263) in 16 cooked:
2.ba6 4.ab3 6.ab1R 7.Rb2! 8.Rb1 9.Re1 10.e6 11.Qf6 12.Ke7 13.Kd6 15.Kb4 16.c5/Bc5 -Qc3+,Qxc3# |

(= 14+16 )
ser-hs#16 (C-)
I found a cook. It looks like white queen does make cooks always.
Perhaps the position from 263-A is still correct ser-hs#15 (this position without white queen). |

Hauke, I give you a chance and open the new section:

(268) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Tuesday, Apr 12, 2022 11:53] |
Unfortunatelly, 263-A in 15 also cooked:
6.ab1R 7.Rxe1 8.ef6 9.Ke7 12.Kb4 13.c5! 14.Qa5 15.Qa3- Bc3+ Qxc3# |

Olaf, I have only one answer to this shameless provocation,
eh, I mean, appellation to my constructive genius:
(= 7+16 )
Without checking key. (I daresay that non-capturing too
is impossible due to Sh6/Sf6.)
Oh, C+ in 0.02s on my trusty Zuse Z2. |

(270) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Tuesday, Apr 12, 2022 12:28] |
some about 263-A
Miodrag, maybe with Ba1 (instead Bb2) problem have chance to survive (and probably Sa2,Pb3 not need also).
Founded cook is unique and now it exist as only solution with mate on c3!
263-A version
(= 12+16 )
ser hs#15,C? |

(271) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Tuesday, Apr 12, 2022 13:19] |
I dont sure, but maybe ser hs#16 now is possible:
(270- version)
(= 14+16 )
How many it is real?
(now as solution: 2.ba5 4.ab3! 6.bc1R 7.Rb1 8.Re1 9.fe6 11.Kd6 13.Kb4 14.c5 15.Qa5 16.Qa3 - Bc3+ Qxc3#) |
|

(251) is cooked:
1. d4 2. d5 3. d6 4. dxe7 5. exf8S 6. Sxd7 7. e7 8. Bf3 9. Bd5 10. Bb2 11. Bd4 12. Bxa7 13. Bd4 14. Bxg7 15. Bxh8 16. Sc5 17. g7 Qxd5= |

Perhaps adding a white pawn on h4 works to repair this.
(= 8+16 )
ser-r=17 (C?)
This is C+ after the first three moves. Only cooks that are possible would need to stop the d-pawn without it promoting, and I have serious doubts that that is possible. |
|
(274) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Tuesday, Apr 12, 2022 23:36] |
However in 270 I found cook as 1.Sf6 2.gh6 3.Rg8 4.Rg5! 5.Rb5 6.Rb1 7.Re1 8.e6 9.Ke7 12.Kb4 13.c5 14.Qa5 15.Qa3...
It is need add Sa2 and Pb3 beside.
270 version
(= 14+16 )
ser hs #15(C?)
At 271 stay real chance to be correct, I hope.
Also in 271 Pg3 probably is not need !
271 version(-Pg3)
(= 13+16 )
ser hs#16(C?) |

(275) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Wednesday, Apr 13, 2022 02:05] |
The end of dream and hope.
I am sorry but all settings from 274, 270-271 and 263 are cooked in only 12 moves!
1.Sf6 2.Sd5 3.Sc3! 4.e5 5.Ke7 6.Kxd6 7.Kc5 8.Kd4! 9.Bb4 10.c5 11.Qf6 12.Qf1 - Re4+,Sxe4++#
Tragic. It is very difficult avoid in this mechanism.
Edit: this is error (Sc3 is pinned), but it is cooked in 14, see post 279 |

(276) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Wednesday, Apr 13, 2022 02:29] |
So my 255- ser hs#14(C?) wait as record-candidate in line.
I dont saw objections to now... |
|
(277) Posted by Olaf Jenkner [Wednesday, Apr 13, 2022 08:57] |
I don't see your supercook working:
Sc3 is pinned by Ba1 and Sb2 can go to c3, so there is no mate. |
|
(278) Posted by Olaf Jenkner [Wednesday, Apr 13, 2022 09:26] |
(255) is cooked:
1. c6 2. cxd5 3. d6 4. Sd7 5. Qa5 6. Qxc5 7. Qxc3 8. Qd3 ; Rxc8+ Rxc8# |
|
(279) Posted by Dragan Stojnić [Wednesday, Apr 13, 2022 09:43] |
About 274(both A and B)
Yes, I overlooked for 12, but however it is similar cooked in 14 moves only:
1.Sf6 2,Sd5 3.e6 4.Qf6 5.Qa1 6.Qf6 7.Qf1 8.Sc3 9.Ke7 10.Kd6 11.Kc5 12.Kd4 13.Bb4 14.c5 - Re4+ Sxe4++#
It is double-checkmate Olaf and Sb1 cannot prevent on c3 |

Changed scheme, new try for ser hs#15 (C?)
(after M.Mladenović)
(= 12+16 )
Now as solution:
1.h6 2.hg 3.Rxh3 4.Rc3 5.Rxc1 6.Rxb1 7.Rxe1 8.ef6 9.Ke7 10.Kxd6 12.Kb4 13.c5 14.Qa5 15.Qa3- Bc3+ Qxc3#
Do can to survive? |
