Unfortunately I know only circumstantial info.
The main line of the solution is 1.Bh8! 2.Qg7! - Turton. The board is crowded as hell.
White ignores all hanging pieces in the center. When I tried to analyze the
side variants (more than enough of them, as I said, Berger school),
I concluded it's unbelievably zugzwang (but I may err).
Author *might* be Otto Fuß (but I may err again). Source where I found it:
whatever, but decades ago. Original source: also unknown.
Does this ring a bell?
(Don't bother to try "stip='#4' and sol='1. Lh8' and sol='2. Dg7'"
on Schwalbe PDB - I already did.)

(And BTW, the board is less crowded than I remembered. :-)
So no zugzwang? Have to reanalyze with Popeye...
(After that: Much less impressing than it was for a kid :P
Especially the en prise Be5.)
* Literarily. I can say "I've seen this information/
this problem before" even if it was 40 years ago.
