The terrible news appeared on June 27 on the Super Problem website, and was confirmed on July 5, on the Problemist Ukraini website.

It's still hard to believe in the death of one of the youngest Grandmasters of chess composition Vasil Krizhanivsky.
The Obituary on the Problemist Ukraini website states Vasil died after a long illness,
gradually losing his health since tragic loss of his mother and brother in 2018.
It points "Vasil's compositions amaze with the beauty and complexity of the idea, harmony of form and content".
This is something we all got to know from his creations on the chess board,
and to feel in the rare opportunities to meet in person this bright and ever smiling man.
This is why his composing will keep living long after this irreparable loss.
Our deep condolences to Vasil's family, friends and all Ukrainian chess composition society.

Terrible news indeed. A real artist was gone. My condolences to his family and to all of us, who lost his inspiration.
