I'm interested in Mark Ridley's article about fairy kings, but I don't see a way to order only this issue, just subscriptions to a whole year. So is there a way to get only issue 33/34, or, even more preferrably, only the article (since I'm not interested in the other articles in that issue).

Send e-mail to Milan to ask him about ordering the issue. Alternatively you can ask Mark Ridley if he sends you the article. If he declines, however, you'll have to buy the issue...

I am afraid that there will be no point in trying to explain how much giving-up is required to produce the magazine of the Mat Plus Review conception. And how much effort has to be put by our friends, the writers of the articles, let alone the knowledge they are unselfishly willing to share with others. If somebody disregards that, the least he or she can do is to abstain from announcing it publicly. Especially not on the magazine web pages!
Mat Plus Review is completely self-financed publication and tries hard to survive from subscriptions, some donations, selling old publications and, unfortunately, patches from my own pocket. If everybody wants just to pick just a small parcel he or she is interested in, very soon there will be no parcels to be picked up at all.
The article the gentleman is interested in has been added to the PDF archive only because of my respect to Mark Ridley, whom I wish a succesful therewith announced jubilee tourney.
With my apologizes to subscribers, I promise that this will remain an exception and that I will keep on trying to protect their interest (i.e. to collect enough money to be able to keep the magazine alive).

Regarding the abovementioned article, readers might be interested in the article by Nikolai Beluhov about the invisible black king, based on several Russian articles by Nikolay Petrov. The Beluhov article is uploaded on http://chessproblem.net/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=371
