Thank you Steven for the information. Thanks to the courtesy of Olaf Jenker I am using Gustav, but obviously not skillfully. Few tips would be helpful (let alone the manual in English)!
Frank, Steven meant 1555. Yes, it is illegal (black needs 2 captures, only one is available)! However, there is a simple correction: replace wPg2,bPg3,bPg4 with wPf2,wPf3. I'm sure author will agree to print this version (should we replace the diagram on this site now or later?)

Sorry for listing the wrong number, sometimes my eyes play tricks on me!
I would be happy to help with Gustav to any extent you feel appropriate,many tricks and tips I had to learn by simply continually pestering poor Olaf Jenker. Whether that would involve testing or showing how things work, I'll do whatever you feel is appropriate.
As to the author with the incorrect problem, I have not been able to look at the simple correction, but if it corrects the problem, I would vote for placing it on the website now as the author obviously put much effort into that problem (which is probably what led to the illegal position, so easy to overlook things when your mind is on other things!) and I think it should be shown in its best light.

By the way, Siegfried, I enjoyed that problem very much. It combined a well-known, almost hackneyed idea (the rook promotion on a8) with a sound reason for the rook promotion, elevating it to a "higher purpose" than simple stalemate avoidance. I hope to see more "pawns only" problems like that from you in the future!

Some young master from Feodossija was very inspiring to me. :-)
I think much is unexplored in these waters. Virgin land is awaiting to those whose ships will crash through the waves. However, without the collection "Kings & Pawns" (can be bought in MatPlus shop) the predecessor test would have been painful.

There's no sense to print unsound problems so two cooked long selfmates are replaced by one s#3 (1555) and one s#9 (1561). Both are computer tested (the latter one has a minor dual, but since it's a special kind of task please look for a 'better' black option on the 5th move which leads to the accurate line).
Some renumbering occured in the selfmates section, but I guess that's not of big importance.

Milan, you left in my comment about an illegal position after it had been corrected - anyone who didn't see the original will think I am quite daft. Can you remove that from the pdf?
