MPR Spring/Summer 2009

The magazines have been mailed during the last week. Some errors in Mat Plus Review have been detected meanwhile:

Article: The Renaissance of the Djurasevic theme...
  • p.9, No.1b - Correct source is: Die Schwalbe 1990
  • p.11, No.7 - Correct source is: Pravda 1987

Article: Ideal Ruchlis - A Comprehensive Overview
  • p.52, No.4 - variations should have been paired as follows:
    1.Qf5? (~), 1... Sf2!
    1... Se~,ef4 2.Qd3,Qd5#
    1...Sc~,B~ 2.Qe5,Rad5#
    1.Qb5! (~)
    1... Se~,ef4 2.Qc5,Rhd5#
    1...Sc~,B~ 2.Qd3,Qd5#
  • p.56, No.39 - 2.Qd5 is actually a Pseudo-transfer; problem belongs to section 1
  • p.57, No.51 - in both phases a defence is Rc6 (not Rc4)
  • p.71, No.178 - the problem is slightly displaced, should have been classified after No.182
  • p.72, No.192 - also displaced, the correct position for this example is after No.177; however, both 178 and 192 show the same locus and belong to the same group of problems
  • p.76, No.219 - this problem belongs to section 12.1 since there is a dual avoidance in 1...Sd4,Rd4 after the key.
  • p.84, No.287 - obviously not a "fgk" (flignt giving key)
