Teddy 1.12 released

Teddy 1.12 released

Teddy is a visual interface to Popeye, Natch, Euclide and Jacobi. It only requires you to specify the location of Popeye and Natch + Euclide (if you plan to use them). All other parameters are set to usable values. They may be changed later.
Look at this page from time to time or if you have a problem. A newer version may have come out.
It is available for download at http://problemskak.dk
It has user interface in four languages: German, English, French and Danish. Language may be changed on the fly.
Popeye interface in German, English and French. Natch interface in German, English and French.

Pieces may be drawn onto the board and input to Popeye / Natch / Euclide / Jacobi is generated at the same time. Twins may be generated the same way. The four solving programs may be called by pressing a button and the result is seen immediately when the program is done. It can maintain a collection of problems, everything may be saved to a .tdy-file at any time or when closing Teddy. It can generate diagrams (in colours too) and backup is automatically taken at specified intervals. There is more information on the web-site and on the help screens.

Major changes in 1.12
-> "Start solving" (without wait) is greatly improved.
.... The output from the solving program is shown until the user presses a key.
.... The solution is then saved in Teddy even if the user now works another problem.
.... If several solutions is started on the same problem, only the last is saved.
-> The setting Asynchronous/Synchronous is deleted.
.... It is now always possible to start solving without waiting for the solution.
.... For Natch and Euclide "Start solving" is now the only way.
.... It is possible to run a number of solution processes (max. 16) simultaneously
->. A new help screen shows the function of all buttons
->. A new help screen shows the stipulations known to Popeye

Minor changes
-> The Teddy screen may now be minimized
-> Tab-order improved
-> The option "Blank line between twins" is now "Blank line between solutions"
-> The path to the Temp library is now checked for invalid characters (DOS/Windows)
-> The solution program may now be chosen in two ways:
.... by clicking on the name in the main menu or by selecting the program from the "Program"-menu

Corrections
-> Teddy will no longer ask an empty diagram to be saved when loaded (if "Start with latest" was not set), error in 1.11.1
-> The setting "Blank between twins" now works as intended
-> Trying to use Jacobi for direct problems is now properly rejected
-> Fixed a problem checking parameters of a saved solution
