How to write solutions?

The usual WCSC rules apply for the completeness of the solution(s) and for the distribution of points.

It's up to the solver to decide on the notation he will be using, provided that he indicates it.

Definitions of the fairy conditions and pieces will be distributed in English and Russian.

It would be great if somebody on Crete finds time to post the problems from yesterday's Open Solving and today's WCSC...

We are also eager to hear the results.

We have the problems thanks to Dinu-Ioan Nicula and Eric Huber. It may be good for the competition but it's kind of frustrating to have originals there (4 in open tourney in 2 in round 3 of WCSC) for which I don't know whether it's allowed to quote or not. I opted for a "safety play" and keep the positions secret. I will be happy to give each position for which (and as soon as) I get author's permission.

An unofficial information arrived that G. Evseev and B. Vučković scored maximum of 60 points in Open.

Few weeks ago, Axel Steinbrink confirmed to me that originals can immediatly be quoted. This does not prevent the authors from sending the problems as originals to the forecast reviews.

Hm, I don't believe it is good because some editors of popular columns take the problems from internet and reproduce that problems as originals and without authors' names. As I can see and hear, there are more and more "stolen" problems in daily newspapers. Is PCCC/ICCU supposed to take care about it?

Stolen problems?! That's bizarre ... well, as an habitual web-wanderer, some misattributions are found once in a while, just an example - in that video, a moremover is atributed to "The Problemist" - people will believe that it's a pseudonym, or, perhaps that some machine called "The Problemist" is now able to 'create' Chess problems http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BuLsK2o6XM
