Consecutive checks, but Black's hand is forced

The task of consecutive checks is old and done. Let's try something fresh!

My idea is that Black is forced to check while White extends the checking sequence for as long as possible. In my view, dual move orders by White should be heavily avoided. I'm open to suggestions on how to stipulate this.

Without promoted pieces, 21 checks is my longest attempt so far.

(= 12+14 )

1. fxe5+ fxe5+ 2. Rxe5+ c5+ 3. Rxc5+ e5+ 4. Rxe5+ c5+ 5. Rxc5+ e5+ 6. Rxe5+ Qc5+ 7. Qxc5+ bxc5+ 8. Rxc5+ Ke7+ 9. Nd5+ Rxd5+ 10. exd5+ Ne6+ 11. Rxe6+

Who can do longer? With promoted pieces and only discovered checks are also welcome.

Here is a previous attempt at 20 to fuel possiblites.

(= 11+11 )

And an 18.

(= 13+10 )

With a small dual order, 22 is done.

White moves and forces 22 consecutive checks
(= 13+12 )

1. e5+ fxe5+ 2. fxe5+ Bxe5+ 3. Rxe5+ c5+ 4. Rexc5+ e5+ 5. Rxe5+ c5+ 6. Rexc5+ e5+ 7. Rxe5+ Qc5+ 8. Qxc5+ bxc5+ 9. Rexc5+ Ke7+ 10. Ncd5+,Necd5+ Rxd5+ 11. Nxd5+ Rxd5+

For the record, this general scheme comes from https://pdb.dieschwalbe.de/P1386256 and https://pdb.dieschwalbe.de/P1386257.

EDIT: Here is a jab at with promoted pieces.

White moves and forces 26 consecutive checks
(= 14+12 )

1. fxe5+ Qxe5+ 2. Rxe5+ c5+ 3. Rexc5+ e5+ 4. Rxe5+ c5+ 5. Rexc5+ e5+ 6. Rxe5+ Qc5+ 7. Rexc5+ Ke7+ 8. Ncd5+ Rxd5+ 9. Nxd5+ Rxd5+ 10. Rxd5+ Rd6+ 11. Rg7+ Bxg7+ 12. f6+ Bxf6+ 13. Qe5+ Bxe5+

Over the past few dayss, I have been playing around some ideas and promoted pieces. 22 without promoted pieces is still set in stone. With promoted pieces, however, is a different story. One major flaws in the 26 is the fact that fxe5 is in fact completely unnecessary, as it can simply come from e4 instead. The piece count for this new record is the same, and yet it is far more using of its material than the 26. Overall, it is a major improvement. The only flaw is the still minor swap in knight moves.

White moves and forces 30 consecutive checks
(= 13+14 )

1. Rxe5+ c5+ 2. Rxc5+ e5+ 3. Rxe5+ c5+ 4. Rxc5+ e5+ 5. Rxe5+ Qc5+ 6. Qxc5+ bxc5+ 7. Rxc5+ Ke7+ 8. Ncd5+/Nexd5+ Rxd5+ 9. Nxd5+ Rxd5+ 10. Rxd5+ Rd6+ 11. Rg7+ Qxg7+ 12. f6+ Qxf6+ 13. gxf6+ Bxf6+ 14. Qe5+ Bxe5+ 15. Qxe5+ Qxe5+

I myself had severe doubt of its legality at fist. But thanks to a little help from Siegfried Hornecker, I proved it as such. Here is a non-quite optimal proof game to go with it.
1. g4 b6 2. c4 Bb7 3. c5 Be4 4. c6 h5 5. g5 Bh7 6. g6 dxc6 7. gxh7 g5 8. h4 g4 9. e4 Nf6 10. e5 Ne4 11. e6 fxe6 12. Rh3 Kd7 13. Rf3 Kd6 14. Rf6 Bh6 15. d4 a5 16. Ke2 a4 17.
