Congrats for Oto Mihalco! So far (out of 101 solvers) he is the only one to solve S#7. I spent at least 30 minutes looking into this problem but without any idea how to solve it.

@Dejan

It's nice to see photos from this competition but I think that problemists are more interested in results. I can see result for one Croatian solver only but from the photos I can see more solvers?

@Other local controlers
Generally, I am wondering why there are no results from Russia, Ukraine, Croatia etc. I know that deadline for entering results is on Thursday but I am sure that solvers are eager to see results as soon as possible. As I can see there are no more than 10-20 solvers per location so it should not take too much time to enter results (of course preliminary results).

@Miodrag preliminary results in Russia:
Tver
Mukoseev 43
Viktorov 39,5
Bylinkuna 35

... (6 solvers)

Volgograd
Radchenko 36
Vaulin 32,5

I don't know why local controllers haven't entered this results yet

There was another hard nut in Category A, endgame No.4.
According to the reports entered during the first two days, 16-years old Zivojin Perovic (Serbia) has been the only solver who got it completely, having the best combined score on two endgames (8 points)!
The missing provisional reports in Mat Plus ISC 2016 section remain a mystery ...

@Marjan A great result for a young solver! In my view if the first study was in tradiotional form (3 studies for 100 minutes) there were much more chances to solve it. But hard threemover, hard variants in 4mover and even problems with selfmate don't give enough time to solve a study (of cource, only in my view)

The solution of #12 (S#7) in Category 1 has incorrect 5th move. Instead of 5.Bxb3 it's written 5. Sxb3 (wrong). ( http://matplus.net/isc.php?px=1453819462&f=s&g=0 )

Category 1, no 9: 1... Kc1 2.Bxd3#
The solution should list only 1...Kc2! as a valid defense.

@Misha - I have publish results at blogg ... (www.pzrdig2.bloger.hr)

I had troubles while I was trying to publish results in ISC application by smartphone. Now it is OK and I am going to publish results soon, by computer...

@Dejan

Thanks for an update. This explains why I see only one Croatian solver in the main ISC 2016 table. When I checked your site on Sunday there were no results. Now I can see them.

It looks like Nick Bocharov from Ukraine has been entered twice. This will impact rating calculation.

@Andrey

Category 1. - both #3 positions are OK. The first one (problem #3) was not easy to solve. I missed one variation. I saw it but I forgot to write it.

@Miodrag

I think, Andrey meant that there is incorrect position №3 (first 4mover) in problems and solutions

@Evgeny,

You are right. I misunderstood Andrey's post. Yes the #3 moremover is not the one we were solving on Sunday. It was very unusual checkmate in four moves with a lots of variations and unanswered black check in initial position.
