Correction prize winning 10-mover 1987 by Oleg Efrosinin and Alexander Grin

I stumbled upon an old prize winning 10-mover from 1987 which was easily cooked with modern engine power. Finding the cook - which turned out to be one of many - took just a few seconds but repairing it proved a formidable task. I was very lucky to find one though I am still not convinced of my results after verifying it with online versions of StockFish and Komodo.

One of the authors is also a member on Mat Plus but this site appears to lack a private messaging function, at least for non-subscribing members. I would appreciate if anyone could inform Oleg Efrosinin of my interest in his creation and ask him to look at my correction. And secondly if members with specialist problem solving software like Popeye could verify that my version is indeed correct!

Btw, I have no doubt that Efrosinin is aware of the cooks by now. The question is only if he or anyone else found a correction which retains all of the original content. I did at the price of a significant amount of cookstoppers. It is as it is.

(= 7+8 )

(= 10+10 )

Both diagrams are #10. The first one is Efrosinin/Grin's original with the cooks, the second one my repair hopefully without any.

Gustav 4.1d output. So your correction seems correct.

EDIT, 29 November 2020: The explanation of pieces above is for the general audience, not only for Guus. Obviously he would understand German notation.

Siegfried, seeing as how Guus here is from the Netherlands. I'm sure that he's more than capable of understanding German notation. Although, really thinking on it, he might still might find the "S" particularly enigmatic. :-)

Also, how's about we play "Duck Duck Guus!" for one of today's party games?

Thnx! As noted by RewanDemontay german notation - or any algebraic notation - is no barrier to me. In fact, I think "S" is the international standard for denoting the "Springer". Technically all references to piece types are redundant in long notations except where the pieces appear from nowhere as in promotions, uncaptures or board setups.
