feenschach alive again

Dear friends of feenschach,

feenschach is alive again! After a long break (the last issue, dated “Summer 2007”, was published in July 2008) many new issues are now to be released: By mid-January 2010 a total of ten (10!) issues will be published. Preliminary pdf-files of the first four issues can be downloaded at www.feenschach.de .

Sincere thanks to all who, even during the break in publication, have kept sending material to feenschach. We hope for a huge number of contributions once feenschach returns to regular publication in 2010.

Dear friends of feenschach,
Issues 169-172 of feenschach, which could be downloaded at www.feenschach.de in December 2009, were printed and posted before Christmas 2009. Now six more issues are ready for printing. Preliminary pdf-files of these issues can be downloaded at www.feenschach.de .
feenschach is now up to date for the first time for ages. The first issue of 2010 is already finished and will be published on March 31st, 2010.
We hope that you continue to enjoy feenschach. We are looking forward to receiving your contributions:

Great article in feenschach 177, it has a great theme, one that is not commonly found in chess composition magazines - even not in other chess magazines! We need more of this!
However, some of Frolkin's findings look rather like coincidence. But then, she composed two things with him...

This alone makes me buy the 2009 year. Already sent a mail to bernd.

Oh, and another thing: Is offering an abonnement not quite unusual? So long subscriptions worked good for chess composition magazines. Surely abonnements are easier to manage for both sides but they should remain optional.

Yes, agree with Siegfried here, a very interesting article by Andrey! The article inspired me to the following poem:

Now / set play

Now as we have read Fairy Chess Insights from the Artist Olga Arefieva
Now we understand more of art, chess and universe
Now remains for us to understand Codex Chapter II

In the beginning, now and at end of time / solution

In the beginning there was only chess problems not yet composed
In the beginning there was no confusion
In the beginning there was no Codex Chapter II

Now as we have read Fairy Chess Insights from the Artist Olga Arefieva
Now we understand more of art, chess and universe
Now remains for us to understand Codex Chapter II

At the end of time there will be only infinite insight
At the end of time all chess problems have been composed
At the end of time there will be a revised Codex Chapter II

Dear friends of feenschach,

like last year, a couple of feenschach issues is being released at christmas! Preliminary pdf-files of four new issues (181-184) can be downloaded at www.feenschach.de .

Issues 182 and 184 are complete. In 181 and 183 some pages are missing which will be included in the printed version. The pagination is already final, however. Issue 184 completes the 2010 volume!

Sincere thanks to all who have kept sending material to feenschach. We hope for a large number of contributions for feenschach in 2011.

Hans -- Thanks to you and the feenschach editors for this early Christmas gift!

Couple of minor corrections in the Parry Series article:

PS9: Authorship should be Tüngler/Meinking
PS15: Last name is Vieira (not Viera)

I'll make mention of f181 on the Parry Series thread as well.
