8th FIDE World Cup in Composing 2020
|(2) Posted by Frank Richter [Friday, Mar 27, 2020 13:33]|
Very nice: "Time control type: Standard" ;)
In chapter 5 in regulations Gustav should be added for selfmate tests ...

Thanks, Frank! I shortly parodied this on my blog:
Composers will be surely pleased to know that the used time controls for composing are "Standard". Due to technical limitations, composers will need to self-regulate this to make sure they don't use "Blitz" or "Correspondence" time controls for composing. Or the dreaded "My wife wants me to stop composing but I only need five more minutes" time controls.

Thank you, Frank!
It is possible to use Gustav.

It seems the pandemic gave most of us more free time for composing. As a result, all 8 sections have more problems submitted than any recent year, and probably in history. After all, composing is one of those things that can be done from home.

On my dissapointment,
because technical problems I am unable to use e-mail (gmail) at long time and I cannot receive cup-entries for #2 section.
Please, it is need replace me as the judge in #2 section

The list of judges is approved by FIDE. Therefore, it is very difficult to make a replacement. I think there are many solutions to this situation. The simplest thing is to ask your friends (relatives) to use their e-mail (computer).

I can help. If Dragan wants let's use my email address at the first moment. Later Dragan can open a new email address etc. I did not participate in the #2 group. So, I suggest that Mr. Bulavka will send me all originals with full solutions and without author's names. I will print it all in paper form and transmit to Dragan either personally or by post. Dragan lives in the small town, 100 km far from Belgrade. I used to visit him at least once a year, but now I can do the same at the end of May.

However my actual e-mail is re-activated, with help
by my very good friend.
Now director can send
entries, I will stay as the judge
