Well, I thought, that Circe Couscous was also an example, but after checking, I found this :

"When a capture is made, the captured unit (except a King) is replaced on the capturing unit rebirth square (according to the "modalités Circé") if it is empty : otherwise, the captured unit vanishes.'

but the statement :

"Unless otherwise stated, when a promotion by capture occurs, the rebirth square is the Pawn one."

is included in the definition.

So it seems that in case you need you have to say

"Circe Couscous and when capture + promotion, promotion first"

Hi Joost,

Simplest definition for Circe Contre-Parrain: identical to Circe Parrain in every way, except that rebirths are shifted 180 degrees. Thus, captured units are immediately reborn the same distance, but _opposite_ direction, from the capture square, as the move following their capture (e.g., if 1.wKxbPc3 were followed by 1...Sd2-e4, Black's pawn is immediately reborn, and promoted, on b1 -- whereas in circe parrain, the black pawn would be reborn on d5).

Not sure who first introduced the contre-version, I only discovered it while shopping for fairy conditions in Win Chloe. :-) But, as a matter of fact, I actually considered inventing this myself, a few years ago (whether it was already in use, I cannot say) in order to demonstrate something I couldn't achieve in Circe Parrain. Now, if I could only remember what that was!
