I need a public domain PGN viewer

I need a PGN Viewer that can be used without any copyright restrictions. Sadly I wasn't able to find one (GPL or such free licenses will not work for my reasons). Also, Freeware won't work. I actually want to create videos for upload on YouTube, which means there shouldn't be any restrictions on the viewer.

Does anyone know such a PGN viewer?

I know (and use sometimes) PGNtoJS. The tool creates complete HTML files including clickable notation and diagram.

See here: http://www.cmpgo.de/chess/pgntojs.html

This is not public domain!

Yes, I use PGNtoJS for my website, too.

PGNtoJS is freeware.
That means, you may use it freely for any purpose.

Does this actually imply making videos under a free license (like Creative Commons)? Does this imply commercial use? Does this imply derivative works (again under a free license)?

I doubt so!

PS, 10:00 PM: Ok, ANY purpose should mean ANY purpose so I'll use it for videos. Thank you, Frank!

With the Pal Programs you can do just that - and they are all freeware! "

I use it for my INSELSCHACH clubzine since years.

I had a similar issue a number of weeks ago (ask Siegfried!), and found several freeware PGN readers through Vaclav Kotesovec's website. The best ones in my opinion were ChessPad and PGN Reader.

Good luck!
