Freeware chess engines

Does anyone know about freeware chess engines? Note: They must be Winboard/UCI compatible.
I'll start with Rybka 2.2n2 which is given out for free. Don't get confused with the website name, it's the full engine.

I wonder if there's a database with engines for download? If not, let's start kind of one here. :-)

PS: This has to do with chess composition, before someone complains. Engines are necessary to test (and useful to compose) studies.

Kirill Kryukov has sent me the following useful link:
http://computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/404/

There's a color scheme where green and red engines are freeware (red ones are open source).

EDIT: Spelling was correct!
