7th Belgrade Problem Chess Festival


The Festival, organized by the Serbian Chess Problemists Society, will take place from 13th through 15th May 2011. The main event is the Open Solving Championship of Serbia (May 14th – 15th, WCSC system, Director: Miodrag Mladenović).

The traditional Internet composing tourney (BIT 2011) will be held in two groups:
A) Direct mate in two (#2), judge Dragan Stojnić
B) Helpmate in two, two solutions (h#2, 2111), judge Fadil Abdurahmanović
The themes were suggested by the judges and the time for composing will be two months: February 15th – April 15th.

BIT 2011 - closing date postponed for twomovers section!

The closing date for twomovers section is postponed to May 3rd 2011. The tourney judge supplied another example which, he hopes, will help composers understand better all the aspects of required theme.
