ECSC 2010 - April 9th to 12th

Milan has kindly set this new discussion group up today. If anyone has any questions about the 2010 ECSC at Sunningdale, I'll try to answer them. Suggestions also welcome!

The dedicated website for the event is www.bstephen.me.uk/ecsc2010/home. The site is run by Brian Stephenson and it gives the core information, such as the venue and registration details, composing competitions, list of participants who have already registered, the programme for the weekend, etc.

I know I'm biased - being one of the organising team - but it should be a great weekend!

Unfortunately, Russian team could not make it to Sunningdale because of an issue with UK visas.

As I saw, in comparison with ECSC – 2009 this time from the country-organizer only one official participant has been illegally included. In Serbia-2009 the number of such participants was 4! It is interesting that in the list of participants (http://www.bstephen.me.uk/ecsc2010/participants) opposite to names Nunn, John and Emmerson, Stephen is specified «non-resident». What does it mean?

Both John Nunn and Stephen Emmerson live so close to the venue that they did not stay at the hotel with all the other competitors. They travelled daily. They were 'non-resident'. I hope this is considered legal!

The participation of Ankush Kandelwal (a junior) was agreed by Marko Klasinc and the director Pavel Kamenik. You will notice that other non-team British solvers (Stephen Emmerson and David Sedgwick) took part unofficially and will not be included in ratings or title-norm calculations.

The detailed, round-by-round results are now on the event website. The rating performances are not there because I do not yet have them.

"The participation of Ankush Kandelwal (a junior) was agreed by Marko Klasinc and the director Pavel Kamenik." (с)
Из этого следует, что для господ Класинца и Каменика правила ECSC не писаны.

Several participants made photos during the closing ceremony. Could someone help getting them? Thanks!

Sorry, I did some photos with the Serbian triumph. What is the address I can send?
