Harry ... Prize S#6 M.Prcic @ F. Abdurahmanovic .. is not thematic problem.. 14 pieces in total. Why .. is in the Metaxa. award?? perhaps is for another tourney..

Yes, I know. I told so to Moutecidis during the congress, but he insisted to include the problem in the award. This is a decision made by the judge himself.

Is not correct. I have a version with 11 pieces better like this composition

Well, this is what I also told him : it was not fair to have it included in the award, for some other composer might have tried to show Valladao, but he couldn't succeed to get it done with 10 pieces.

Being the judge, I would not allow this composition into award as it does not satisfy requirements no matter which interpretation you try to imagine.

But I can understand composers as well as judge. Many precedents exist.

Composers have composed something - and submitted it. In any case the worst scenario was that their composition would be just excluded. This happens all the time that compositions are found to be un-thematic.

(By the way, I have for 2 weeks worked on the s#3 for the running 4th round of Liga Problemista 2007 just to realize it is not thematic - yesterday... bad luck. Or rather bad reading of announcement.)

Judges sometimes consider even problem overstepping requirements. It happens. Not often, but it happens. I remember e.g. Lehen JT 70 back in 1995 where #2 with fairy pieces and/or Circe and/or Madrasi were requested. Well known German problemist has submitted #2 with fairy condition twinning Circe/Mirror Circe/other Circe/another Circe and although not conforming to announcement, he got special recognition.

But overall - to have awarded Prize together with other Prizes that conformed - that is slightly too much.

To me, I always get to Google if I use Firefox. In Internet Explorer it works perfectly...

somehow the website solving.pl is blocked in my Firefox but I don't know why :-(
or maybe it can't resolve the name server...

Harry, please try to use another browser (like IE) for that website.

Kinda slowish with FF or IE. I guess it's those sites with
random timeouts. Suggested policy: forget and try later.
