Actually, I think that there should be some ID of person added to the rating list. Than, the local controler would know to select right ID from the rating list and put it on the table. I think that that would simplify procedure and make it more clear. Yes, someone would have to maintain ID but it's just one more column on the XLS document. There are some women solvers on the rating list so I do not know how they would like their birthdate to be listed on the rating list :). |

As a matter of fact such ID already exists. In the table which Marek Kolcak prepares for publishing there is also one column named "Date of birth" in the format YYYYMMDD. Unfortunately many dates are missing. Only 187 out of 427 solvers have the birthday included. We can try to update this information for as many solvers as possible. For the future we should demand from directors (or local controllers at the ISC) to register birthdays of all solvers. |

Based on the experience from http://zulu.maia.ch/~iseli/cgi/twiki/bin/view/PCCC/ComposersNamesInVariousAlphabets , I know that this question isn't gender related. |
