Open Swiss Solving Championship 2016 - 1st tournament of the WSC 2016/17
The Swiss Association for Chess Composition invites all interested solvers to the Open Swiss Solving Championship 2016 in Bern on Saturday, 24 September 2016, begin at 12:30.
It will be the 1st tournament of the World Solving Cup (WSC) for the new cycle 2016/2017 which has been announced on the WFCC website: http://www.wfcc.ch/competitions/solving/wsc-2016-2017/
The tournament mode is a "mini WCSC" as instead of three problems there will be only two problems per round - but with all six rounds in one afternoon similar to the mode of the British Chess Solving Championship.
Franziska Iseli will act as tournament director and Axel Steinbrink will be responsible for the choice of problems and the controlling.
Participation is at no charge and there will be money prizes for the best ranked solvers.
If you would like to attend please register with an email to SLM@kunstschach.ch latest by 17 September 2016.
Please indicate if you need a chess board for the tournament and if you would like to join us for dinner after the tournament (at your own expenses).
We will be glad to help you with any questions that you might have regarding the tournament, the transportation or about accommodation in Bern.
After meeting many of you at the great WCCC 2016 in Belgrade this summer I would be glad to welcome you in Bern! http://www.kunstschach.ch
