Being an anal retentive guy (except on the chess board :-),
I picked it up and it was Lauterbachs Yearbook 1984,
which contained the following construction task:
Compose a s=1 with K key. Use as few material as possible.
(There was some additional uniqueness condition I still don't
understand exactly, probably to exclude the trick below
with a bishop instead of a rook.)
Does someone have "the" solution? In my head I quickly
came up with Xs8 Er8 - Xu8 Dr5 Er6 Cu7 (ROT13-encoded -
if you like to try yourself :-).
