@Marjan:
Actually, my main intention was to show a cyclic triple avoidance
(a true, well ordered cycle, not just a triple separation) as shown
in the following table:
defence | continuation | defeated by
1... Ke3! | defeated by
1... Kxe5! | 1... Qh5 | 2.Sd2+! | 2.Sb2+? | 2.Sxd6+? | 1... Qh4 | 2.Sb2+! | 2.Sxd6+? | 2.Sd2+? | 1... Qh3 | 2.Sxd6+! | 2.Sd2+? | 2.Sb2+? |
@Jean-Marc:
I hope I'll write it eventually. However, I hesitate because I don't want it
to be without by best problem(s) - hopefully the best is yet to come :-) |

Ahem! Actually, Jean-Marc anticipated what I wanted to say -- about a book on Milan's problems!
Just imagining -- something like Rudenko's "Presledovanie Temy". . . It would be an equally great book.
Thanks to Miodrag and Milan for quoting those 2 three-movers. |

Hope Milan finds time to write it soon. I book a copy now !
Shankarram mentioned about Rudenko's book. Has anybody translated it into English, or should I learn Russian to appreciate it better ? :) |

Great threemovers, really.
By the way - very good examples for the jubilee tourney Degener-50 for problems of any length, but longer than two moves, showing typical two mover themes.
Closing date of the tourney is shifted to January, 31st 2011.
I will wait for your entries ... |

Oh really, Frank? I know at least one composer who missed the tourney completely in spite of interest in threemovers with two-move themes. |

He could compose a moremover ... |

Yes... and in the given two months he also can compose threemover. The point is that he missed the announcement, never seeing it, and my e-mail to him after the original deadline has just made him regret he missed the tourney. Now he has the second chance! |

In one of his mails to me, he proposed a new fairy chess condition "Frankfurter Circe":
QUOTE The rebirth square remains undefined - the Frankfurter Schach (FS) was invented many years before Circe. [I remember that in 1970 we, the Belgrade problemists, eight of us, played a FS tourney, which was won by Miroslav Stosic (who died in 1975 at age of 25), the runner up was Bogdan Cvejic and I took the third place.] Nevertheless, that would be in the scope of another fairy type (Frankfurter Circe?) which, as far as I know, has not been 'invented' yet. |

Undefined rebirth square? -- "Supercirce"?. |

No, his mail was about the rebirth square in Frankfurter Schach being undefined, i.e. in the combination of FS + Circe. |
