Jan Golhas Pages?

In the last days www.goja.szm.sk seems to be offline. Can anybody tell me the reason?

I really cannot open it. Some days ago I upgraded to Firefox 2.0, but why should the new browser lock the URL? Cache is cleared etc. - but no solution.

I cannot open the page as well, just tried it.
Reason something like: "Connection lost. Remote host or network not accessable. Please try leter."

Frank, don't adjust your browser :)

Aaron, please don't write in capitals, it's like you are shouting. Which browser do you use and which version? I just tried and it works fine with both Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 1.5.0.9.

It is a very strange effect, that doesn't depend on the local browser or the operating system. It seems that some providers block the domains on szm.sk. I cannot reach Jans pages using my home account (via t-online), but I can open the pages via a special proxy connection using another provider. So it is definitively not a client problem.
You can contact Jan via email, he will send a copy of the files for local using.

I am using IE7 on Vista and I cannot open this site too. It looks like something is wrong with that page. Perhaps it's using some non-standard tags that some browsers can read ans some browsers cannot read.

But my Internet Explorer 7 opens it smoothly in a XP-laptop!

is there any way to "connect from far" from isp that does let you see it? I dont have proxy or something for that matter....

Dear Hartmut & Volker,

the accessibility of Jans pages is independent from the used browser or operating system. It depends solely on the Internet access provider!

@ Volker:

I agree it is not a chess problem.
